Below are some of the many ways to cook lobsters. If you’re planning to serve them, here are the methods you can use.
Your steamer must be virtually airtight and it must be very durable. It’s also best if the lid is fitted and heavy. You can also use a crockpot if you’ll be cooking lots of lobsters.
1 tbsp salt per 1 quart of water
2 stalks of celery
1 large onion
2 bay leaves
1 tsp of peppercorn
Gather all the vegetables in a bowl. Pour in 1 and half cups of water. Boil this mixture. Add the lobsters and put on the cover. It has to be cooked for 15 minutes. Make sure that there is still water in the pot. Add some more if it dries up. Don’t add any more salt; the water will be sufficient.
One of the best ways to cook lobsters is by grilling it. Remove the tail and take out the innards. Remove the stomach (dark green), the liver and the intestines. You can leave the roe behind. Also keep in mind that some like the liver parts, so you can keep that one too. Remove the claw.
To grill, set the claws that are still in the shell on the warmest part of the grill. Sprinkle some salt in the open section of the lobster. Grill it for 3 minutes. Move the lobster to another section if a flare up happens. When the flame subsides, you can move the lobster around again.
Prepare the lobster in the same way as you did when grilling. When using this way to cook lobsters, set the lobsters about eight inches away from the flame. Use a shallow fry pan. Cook with the cut side facing downwards for 4 minutes. Flip the meat when the shell assumes a bright red color. Spread some butter and cook for 3 minutes.
The same method can be used when baking lobsters in the oven. You just need to preheat the oven at 425 F. Remember to use a tablespoon of salt for every 1 quart of water.

Half a cup of white vinegar (this for every 8 quarts of water)
Note: use as much water as needed to soak in the lobsters
As with the other ways to cook lobsters, begin by putting the sea food in the pot. The container must be heat resistant and with a fitting cover. Combine the vinegar and the water. Boil them. Add in the lobsters.
Put the cover on. Allow the lobsters to steep for 3 minutes (this is for the 2 lb lobsters). Take off the claws for 5 minutes and then return them. Take out the tails and the vein. After 5 minutes, open the claw and remove the meat. Put the lobster on a serving plate. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
